In een geïsoleerd dorpje hier ver vandaan, wonen vier prachtige vrouwen. Als generaties lang hangt de was keurig aan de lijn en zijn de huizen spik en span. Het dorpje is een utopie voor mannen. Aan wie de eer deze bijzondere plek te betreden? Welkom in Småland…….

Småland is een dynamische en een licht absurdistische voorstelling, met een flinke dosis humor. Met muziek uit alle windstreken vertelt NEST het verhaal van de mens met de eeuwige drang zich voort te planten. Deze fysieke voorstelling won de juryprijs van het Amsterdams studenten festival en stond eerder op het NoordNoordWest Festival.

Theatergroep NEST is de jongerentheatergroep van het MUZtheater, gevestigd in Zaandam. De groep bestaat uit 5 jonge spelers en één regisseur: Suzanne Klomp. De theatergroep is onderdeel van de vierjarige theateropleiding, waarin wordt gewerkt aan spelvaardigheid. De jongeren ontwikkelen zich als acteur/actrice, maar zijn ook betrokken bij het maakproces van een theatervoorstelling.

A small isolated village is inhabited by four gorgeous women. For generations long, the houses are carefully looked after and all is neat end clean. This remote village is an utopia for men. Who will have the honour to enter this mythical paradise? Welcome to Småland...

Småland is a non-spoken, humorous and physical performance. This award winning show tells the story of mankind with the everlasting need to reproduce itself at all costs. This results in a dynamic, slightly absurd tale that will bring a smile to your face.

NEST is a department of the MUZtheater company based in Zaandam which provides a four year program for theatre minded youngsters. Here the students have the opportunity to develop their acting skills and be a part of all the aspects of creating theatre, with the support of a professional. In the last year of this program, the students create, perform and produce their own performance.
